Only by appointment through our web Contact page, by email or by phone. We are based in Dublin however our gemologists travel to the privacy of your home or workplace wherever you are in Ireland and examine your gems using our mobile gemological equipment. We take all the details and information of the gemstone that will be used to come to a conclusion about the nature and characteristics of the examined gem (loose or set).
We offer a verbal conclusion or a written Gemstone report. (Take into account that if the gems are set, the gem identification may have certain limitations due to the mount).
This service includes examination, identification and the production of a grading report. This service takes no more than 2 days. The diamond grading report includes the 4Cs of Colour, Clarity, Carats and Cut.
– Before starting any examination the most appropriate gemological service and the corresponding fee will be discussed directly with the client.
– Where it is considered necessary to use a third party laboratory the cost of the laboratory service will be added to our fee. The client will be informed of this before we proceed.
– Significant details such as fractures, scratches, any damage, the need for polishing, if gem is loose or missing, etc., are advised to the client during initial visual examination.
– No gemological service of identification or diamond grading will be done through a photograph of a diamond or a coloured gemstone.
